About US
Healing the planet, one yard at a time.

Our Mission
At HumiliTree, we design and cultivate living landscapes that regenerate the Earth, nourish communities, and seek to share abundance equitably. Guided by the core principles of permaculture—Earth Care, People Care, and Fair Share—we create resilient outdoor spaces that restore ecosystems, support well-being, and foster a more just and sustainable future for all.
Our Values

Our Story
Founded in October 2024, HumiliTree is a small business built on a deep love for the land and the people who depend on it.
Founder, Tanner Petrilla, is a Licensed Landscape Contractor with a Professional Certificate in Permaculture Design from Oregon State University. He brings over a decade of farming and landscaping experience to every project. As a Reno local for more than 20 years, Tanner has dedicated himself to understanding the unique challenges and opportunities of high desert landscaping, blending time-tested permaculture principles with the resilience this terrain demands. He is supported by his wife, Ali, whose passion for customer experience ensures every client feels heard and valued, and by their newborn son, Auggie, who reminds them daily why nurturing the Earth for future generations matters so deeply.

At HumiliTree, the Earth Care, People Care, Fair Share ethics of permaculture guide every decision. We believe everyone deserves dignity and respect. Employees are provided a living wage in a cooperative environment and every customer is provided high-quality, regenerative landscaping at a fair and reasonable price.
